Texas High School Basketball - Del Valle holds off Vista Ridge
December 13, 2008: Cedar Park, TX 78613 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Del Valle Cardinals (Del Valle, TX) and the host Vista Ridge Rangers (Cedar Park, TX), saw Del Valle's basketball squad hold off Vista Ridge by a count of 30-25.
With the victory, Del Valle upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Manor (Manor, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 17 challenge on Monday, December 15. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Manor won 59-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Taft (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Rangers play the Westwood Warriors (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Vista Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
