Washington Tigers (Massillon, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lake Blue Streaks (Uniontown, OH), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Taylor Allderdice (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Monday, December 29. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH) in a Federal bout, on Friday, December 12. Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 66-55 non-league win over East (Akron, OH).
