October 24, 2014: Elkin, NC 28621 Elkin Elks (Elkin, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 41-21 in a league test.
With the triumph, Elkin improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to battle the Trojans in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley test on Friday, October 31. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 7-2. Alleghany won 41-21 in their recent league test against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)
With the loss, Wilkes Central drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley test on Friday, October 31. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 2-7. East Wilkes lost 42-7 in their recent league test against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
