The Olathe Pirates basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Hotchkiss Bulldogs to 52 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rifle for a 3A Western Slope contest on Saturday, January 22.

The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO). The Titans come into the 3A Western Slope bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Coal Ridge notched a victory over Gunnison (Gunnison, CO), 67-61, in a league bout.
