The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) football routed the visiting Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV), 57-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Miners clash with the Allegany Campers (Cumberland, MD) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, September 19. Mountain Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Campers enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 33-14 non-league loss to Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA).

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV). The enter the Eastern Panhandle bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Spring Mills was crushed by Musselman (Inwood, WV), 49-7, in a league bout.
