California High School Softball - Hoover knocked off by Burroughs
May 4, 2012: Burbank, CA 91506 In Friday's league contest, the Burroughs Indians (Burbank, CA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Hoover Tornadoes (Glendale, CA), by a margin of 11-2.
With the triumph, Burroughs moves its record to 20-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Monday, May 7. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 21-7. Kennedy won 12-3 in their recent league contest against Sylmar (Sylmar, CA)
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 5. Hoover will attempt to advance on its 8-13 season record. The Scorpions enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 3-2 league win over California City (California City, CA).
