The Lafayette Commodores basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Forest Park Panthers to 40 in the Commodores non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Commodores now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Horn Lake for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29.

The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Winton Woods ran past Harrison (Harrison, OH), 49-38, in a league contest.
