Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX), saw Parkland's basketball squad hold off Riverside by a count of 50-44.

With the victory, Parkland upgrades its record to 2-9 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Ysleta (El Paso, TX) to play the Indians in a 4A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 0-13.
