Illinois High School Basketball - Curie tipped by Joliet
December 29, 2009: Joliet, IL 60432 The Joliet Steelmen basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Curie Condors to 59 in the Steelmen non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Steelmen now sport a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield South for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 5. Joliet will confront a Cougars team coming off a 57-45 non-league win over Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.
The Condors (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Kenwood (Chicago, IL). The Broncos enter the Chicago Public Red - Central contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Kenwood was nudged by Wheeling (Wheeling, IL), 51-45, in a non-league contest.
