The Benton Cardinals topped the visiting Lafayette Fighting Irish basketball team by a final score of 35-26 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Bishop LeBlond Eagles (St. Joseph, MO) in a Midland Empire game, on Thursday, January 19. Benton will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record.
