The Pike Red Devils basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Lawrence Central Bears to 69 in the Red Devils league triumph on Friday.

The Red Devils now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pendleton Heights for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 2. Pike will battle a Arabians team coming off a 65-58 non-league win over Rushville (Rushville, IN). The Arabians record now stands at 5-1.

The Bears (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN). The Giants enter the Metropolitan contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Ben Davis was nudged by Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN), 47-45, in a non-league contest.
