Texas High School Basketball - South Grand Prairie can't hold off DeSoto

The DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting South Grand Prairie Warriors to 54 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 25-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Hill for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, February 10. DeSoto will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 60-54 league win over Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 23-2.

The Warriors (15-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mansfield (Mansfield, TX). The Tigers enter the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 9-15 record. In their last contest, Mansfield was nudged by DeSoto (De Soto, TX), 65-30, in a league contest.
