The Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) basketball knocked off the host Crosby-Ironton Rangers (Crosby, MN), 81-73 in Friday's league test.

The Cardinals (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Dutchmen go into the non-league test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Melrose notched a victory over Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN), 58-57, in a non-league test.
