The Jena Giants basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Marksville Tigers to 50 in the Giants league victory on Tuesday.

The Giants now sport a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vidalia for a 3A District 3 contest on Friday, February 6. Jena will battle a Vikings team coming off a 55-43 league loss to Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-13.

The Tigers (15-7) will now prepare for their contest against Buckeye (Buckeye, LA). The Panthers come into the 3A District 3 contest with a 9-19 record. In their last contest, Buckeye was nudged by Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA), 53-24, in a league contest.
