Ohio High School Basketball - Avon Lake thwarts Solon
December 28, 2010: Avon Lake, OH 44012 The Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) basketball felled the visiting Solon Comets (Solon, OH), 65-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Shoremen (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Midview (Grafton, OH). The Middies go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Midview went down by Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH), 49-44, in a non-league test.
The Comets now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brush for a Northeast Ohio - River test on Tuesday, January 4. Solon will clash with a Arcs squad coming off a 64-51 non-league win over South (Willoughby, OH). The Arcs record now stands at 6-0.
