Texas High School Baseball - Center loses to Carthage
March 19, 2012: Center, TX 75935 The Carthage Bulldogs crushed the host Center Roughriders baseball team by a count of 12-3 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pittsburg for a 3A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, March 23.
Next, the Roughriders face the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 bout, on Friday, March 23. Center will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Lumberjacks enter the bout with a 5-8 record after their 6-2 league win over Huntington (Huntington, TX).
Game Summary
Samuel Chhor went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, Clint Cage went 2 for 3 with a double and Jacob Blissett went 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI's as Carthage moved to 17-2 on the season with a 12-3 win oover Center. The Bulldogs took advantage of 7 walks, 4 passed balls, 5 wild pitches and 3 Roughrider errors. Chris Ponder(2-0) started and pitched 3.1 innings for the win.
