California High School Basketball - Maywood Academy nudges Downtown Magnet

Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Downtown Magnet Suns (Los Angeles, CA), 75-70 in a league bout.

With the win, Maywood Academy upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to USC-Mast (Los Angeles, CA) to encounter the Trojans in a Freeway bout on Thursday, January 29. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-4. USC-Mast lost 49-42 in their recent league bout against Annenberg (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Suns encounter the Central City Value Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA) in a Freeway bout, on Thursday, January 29. Downtown Magnet will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 50-40 league win over Orthopaedic (Los Angeles, CA).
