In Tuesday's league outing, the Canton Tigers (Canton, MS) basketball squad edged the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), by a count of 52-50.

The Tigers (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS). The Indians go into the 5A Region 3 outing with a 14-7 record. In their last outing, Yazoo City was tipped by Callaway (Jackson, MS), 49-34, in a non-league outing.
