Mississippi High School Basketball - Wesson holds off Enterprise

Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Enterprise Yellowjackets (Brookhaven, MS), 47-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Wesson upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Cobras host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-18. East Marion lost 73-33 in their recent league bout against Bassfield (Bassfield, MS)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS) in a 2A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Enterprise will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 14-11 record after their 37-26 league win over Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS).
