Season Outlook
Injuries ravaged the 2007 Escondido football team en route to a 2-7 record. The upside of that, however, is that the 2008 team will be returning 15 starters. Combine that with a JV team that went 7-3 last year and you might understand Coach Gomes's optimism. He is especially excited about RB Ricky Seale, whom he touts as a potential 'blue-chip' player. Seale will have the opportunity to showcase himself to recruiters a lot, as the Tiger program has been moved to the extremely competitive Avocado League of the San Diego Section.
