The Darlington Falcons first game was August 25, 1995 against the Lamar Silver Foxes. The Falcons were victorious 15-14 over their county rivals.
In 1996 the Falcons were the 4A-Division II Lower State Champions and the 4A-Region 5 Champions. Darlington lost to Berkeley 21-0 in the State Championship Game at Williams-Brice Stadium.
From 1995-2006 the Falcons played their home games at James B. Welch Stadium on the campus of Brunson-Dargan Elementary School. In 2007 an on-campus stadium was completed and is known as The Falcons Nest.
The longest win streak for the Falcons was in 1996 at six games from Sept. 6 - Oct. 18.
The longest win streak to start the season was in 2014 with a 4-0 start.
