  • Cato June1998

    June was a standout athlete in Football, Basketball, Track & Field, and Baseball. A 1998 graduate of Anacostia, June was chosen as the 1998 All Met Defensive Player of the Year. After a storied career at the University of Michigan, June was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2003. He was chosen as an All-Pro Linebacker in 2005, and won a skills challenge at the Pro Bowl that season. He went on to win a Superbowl in 2006, and continued his career until 2009.

    Reggie was a 4 sport star for Anacostia Senior High School. He attended Boston University from 1965-1969, where he majored in Education with a minor in History, graduating with distinction and winning the Scarlet Key. He played football and baseball at BU and is a member of the BU Hall of Fame in both sports. Reggie played 12 seasons in the NFL beginning with the Dallas Cowboys in 1970.. In 1971 he was traded to the NY Giants. He finished his pro career with the Cleveland Browns in 1981

    A 1962 graduate of AHS. While at Anacostia, Dick was a 3 sport star (football, basketball and baseball) in addition to playing summer baseball for The Washington Gas Light team which participated in the very competitive American Legion and Clark Griffith Leagues. Dick attended maryland where he was selected to the ACC First Team, and was selected as a 5th round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles During his tenure with the NFL, Dick played with 4 different teams Eagles, Falcons, Saints and Redskins
