League recap: Lonoke paces 4A Region 2 with three wins over past week

Lonoke outpaced the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Jackrabbits beat Brookland 4-3, Riverview 5-2 and Harding Academy 8-6.

Lonoke's Zack Risner was the best pitcher in 4A Region 2 this week. He picked up one win and two strikeouts.

The Jackrabbits' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 39 hits and 18 walks, both of which led the league.

Shane Pepper's .500 batting average (8-for-16) for Lonoke was the best in the league this week. He's batting .429 on the year, which puts him at second in the league. Pepper has 12 hits total this season.
