Live From Music City Hall

Today we visited the kind people at CBS 7, Odessa, where we were able to interview several people who knew alot about the Permian-Lee rivalry. Head anchor Jay Hendricks is an Odessa grad, who had the interesting perspective of a third party. The station's other anchor, Tatum Hubbard, is a proud Permian grad who talked to us about what it means for Odessa when Permian has a good team. Jeff Stewart, sports director, pretty much told us what we had suspected all long: the MOJO is back.

We also toured the local mall, and spoke to alot of Odessans who were rooting for Permian. We spoke to one man who said he had followed the teams since they were both created. Talk about insight! Some Permian alumni were also walking around, and they gave us the impression that the Lee rivalry is every bit as fierce as we thought.

Tomorrow we should head to Midland, to talk to some more of the locals there. Check back then!~SS
