Kentucky places 49 on 2012 NISCA All-American Swimming list

With the U.S. Olympic swimming team nearing the Olympics, the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association recently released its list of high school All-Americans.

The lists compile the top 100 performances in each event during the recently completed school year. Kentucky is 20th nationally in the number of athletes, while California came in at No. 1 with 750 honorees.

Led by Trinity's Thomas Cooper, Covington Catholic's Maxwell Williamson and Sarah Love of DuPont Manual, Kentucky had 8 boys All-Americans and 41 girls honorees, respectively.
