Who's up and who's down

Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. That and more in this week's report.

No Stoppin 'Em

Central and St. John's went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (85) among all power ranked teams. St. John's earned a pretty comfortable 52 - 33 victory over Central. Despite the outcome, neither team improved or gave up its position in the power rankings.

This Week's Big Showdown

One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between North Attleborough (5th in the power rankings) and Tewksbury Memorial (19th). North Attleborough took its game by a score of 29 - 21. Even if it didn't bump it up the rankings, the win at least kept team from dropping.

Next Week's Big Game

The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Everett (1st in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Masconomet Regional (51st). The last time they met, Everett walked away with a 35 - 24 win. Will it come out on top again? We'll soon find out.
