Future Cornhusker put up over 2,000 all-purpose yards as a senior.

After leading UCF to an unbeaten season last fall, the wins are already piling up at Nebraska for new head coach Scott Frost.

The Cornhuskers gained a pledge Wednesday as college football's regular signing period got underway from running back Maurice Washington of Trinity Christian (Cedar Hill, Texas), a Top 10 talent at his position in the Class of 2018.

Washington was an all-purpose threat for Trinity Christian last fall, tallying over 2,000 yards. A versatile back, he ran for 1,253 yards and 15 touchdowns while hauling in 26 passes for 582 yards and nine scores.

Two-time Super Bowl champion Deion Sanders served as Washington's offensive coordinator. The Nebraska pledge transferred from Oak Grove (San Jose, Calif.) to the Texas school following his junior year.

Arizona State was the primary contender for Washington's signature but Clemson, Mississippi, Ohio State and Washington State were also closely involved.
