Who's up and who's down
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Sanger (211th in the state) and Bullard (247th). Sanger will be strutting in after a win while Bullard will be stumbling in from a defeat. We'll see if Sanger can add another positive mark to its record or if Bullard can shake its loss and take the spring out of Sanger's step.
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Tulare Union (4th in the power rankings) and Dinuba (11th). Tulare Union had all the answers against Dinuba, winning 69 - 47. The victory boosted Tulare Union a satisfying 340 spots in the national rankings.
Los Banos not only got the result it was looking for last game, but the team outscored its opponent Chowchilla in every quarter. Los Banos kept its opponent Chowchilla off the scoreboard entirely, winning the match 28 - 0. At 28 points, that marked Los Banos's largest margin of victory so far this year. The success catapulted it 760 spots up the national rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.
