Texas High School Basketball - Socorro knocked off by Coronado

January 12, 2018: El Paso, TX 79927

The Coronado Thunderbirds basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Socorro Bulldogs to 33 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Americas for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Coronado will meet a Trail Blazers team coming off a 67-30 league win over Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 15-8.

The Bulldogs (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Rams enter the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 5-10 record.
