    • Texas High School Football - Rio Hondo topples Port Isabel

    October 16, 2015: Rio Hondo, TX 78583

    The Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) football defeated the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), 20-7 in Friday's league bout.

    In their next game, the Bobcats face the Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) in a 4A-2 Region IV District 16 bout, on Friday, October 23. Rio Hondo will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 6-0 record after their 21-0 league win over Progreso (Progreso, TX).

    The Tarpons (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bears enter the 4A-2 Region IV District 16 bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, West Oso lost by Raymondville (Raymondville, TX), 48-20, in a league bout.
