The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO) and the visiting Creede Miners (Creede, CO), witnessed Cotopaxi's volleyball team get by Creede by a score of 3-2.

The Pirates now have a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sierra Grande for a non-league test on Saturday, September 25. Cotopaxi will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Sargent (Monte Vista, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.

The Miners (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Sierra Grande (Blanca, CO). The Panthers enter the 1A Southern Peaks test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Sierra Grande held off Cotopaxi (Cotopaxi, CO), 3-1, in a non-league test.
