Gilbert Named Male Athlete of the Year
Multi-sport excellence is a key consideration in MaxPreps.com's Athlete of the Year selection process, but Garrett Gilbert was
too
good under center at Lake Travis High School (Austin, Texas) to beoverlooked. The future Texas Longhorn accounted for over 5,600offensive yards and 78 touchdowns in leading Lake Travis to a statetitle.
