Hilliard Davidson (Hilliard, Ohio) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 20-7 victory over
Pickerington North (Pickerington, Ohio) on Saturday. The Wildcats took the lead for good when they threw a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown, the Panthers went into halftime with a 8-6 lead. The Wildcats took the lead to win the game on a passing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Hilliard Davidson still trailed by two points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped HD pull out the victory.
With the win the Hilliard school extended its winning streak to 12 games. Hilliard Davidson defeated Marysville 42-7 last week.
Pickerington North's lone touchdown came on a pass from
Zephaniah Miller to
Tj Hammel in the second quarter.
The Wildcats had given up an average of 9.1 points prior to the contest. Pickerington North's seven points were above its season average of 1.8 per game.
Hilliard Davidson (12-0) will play a playoff game against Miamisburg next week, while Pickerington North (10-2) will take on Fairfield also in a playoff game.
