Andover added to the longest winning streak in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II this week by beating Emporia, 28-21. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Goddard fell to Carroll 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tucker Vang was a bright spot for the Lions, as he ran for 24 yards in the loss.
Blake Meier threw for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 15-29 with 3 interceptions.
Vang was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 24 yards as Goddard lost to West. Teammate Connor Kirby added to the ground attack by rushing for 10 yards.
Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Meier has thrown for 1,517 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Ryan Banwart has 26 catches for 487 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Scott Vang's team takes on Eisenhower. The Lions are currently in sixth, while the Tigers are in fifth.
