Alvarado won the last time they met up with Ranchview, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Alvarado captured a comfortable 35-17 win over Ranchview. 35 seems to be a good number for Alvarado as the squad scooped up a win with the same point total in their contest this week.
Senior Andrew Barajas, who rushed for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Alvarado's success. Junior Josh Syrus was in the mix, too, providing Alvarado with 3 touchdowns.
Ranchview's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Michael Henderson jr, who accumulated 171 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD.
The victory bumped Alvarado's record up to 2-4. The defeat dropped Ranchview's record to 2-4.
Alvarado will take on North Dallas at home at 7:30 PM next week. North Dallas took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Alvarado's good fortune. As for Ranchview, they will face off against Hillcrest. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
