Notes: No. 2 Jesuit, Ore., won its 24th-straight game by blowing out previously unbeaten Sheldon, 65-7, in the state quarterfinals.No. 7 Davidson, Ohio, probably didn't see its 10-6 win over No. 8 Colerain as much of an upset. The Wildcats are 38-3 since 2004.No. 10 Westfield, Texas, has won 36 of its last 39 games.No. 14 Muskegon, Mich., notched its second state title in three years with a 32-30 win over De La Salle Collegiate. The Big Red may have been talking three-peat had star wide receiver/defensive back Ronald Johnson not gone down with a knee injury in 2005.No. 17 Bellevue, Wash., will be looking for its fifth state title in the last six years Friday in the state's 3A championship game against Kennedy.Even after giving up 21 points to Notre Dame, the defense for No. 32 Long Beach Poly, Calif., is allowing just 7.5 points per game this season.No. 39 Maryville, Tenn., won its 44th-straight game by advancing to the state's 4A title game with a 44-19 win over Morristown-Hamblen West.No. 46 Cardinal Mooney, Ohio, will be seeking its second state title in the last three years against Alter Friday. The Cardinals are 25-3 over the past two seasons.No. 51 Zeeland West, Mich., is an unlikely entry in the Top 100. The school opened in 2005 and went 9-2 in its inaugural season on the gridiron. This season, the Dux finished 13-1 (only loss coming to Division 2 champion, Muskegon), capturing Michigan's Division 4 state title.No. 61 Wilson Area, Pa., has won 24 of its last 25 games since starting the 2005 season 1-2.After opening its season with a 26-point loss to No. 80 Lake Oswego, Ore., No. 63 Bothell, Wash., has won 12-straight games and will play for the state's 4A title Saturday against Oak Harbor.No. 72 Mullen, Colo., has scored 40 or more points in each of its last eight games, which includes four postseason contests. After starting the season 1-2 with losses to No. 55 Notre Dame and St. Bonaventure, No. 74 Canyon, Calif., has rebounded with eight-straight wins and is looking very much like the team that many experts tabbed among the top 25 in the country over the summer. The Cowboys are averaging 66 points per game in their last five outings.No. 77 Texas High, Texas, snapped Highland Park's 26-game win streak in second round 4A playoff action. The game was played in Shreveport, La. Don't ask me why.No. 82 Kennedy, Wash., is 33-3 since 2004.No. 97 East St. John, La., defeated Archbishop Rummel 41-35 back in September, but things didn't go so well for the unbeaten Wildcats in the playoff rematch. Rummel hung 59 points on ESJ to advance to the 5A semifinals.
