If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Smoky Valley. They and Cheney go head to head on Friday at 7:00 PM in their first playoff game of the year. Smoky Valley is currently enjoying a eight-game winning streak and is looking to extend their dominance.
Last Friday, Smoky Valley put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 32-0 margin over Rock Creek. Schrag has now scored at least one touchdown in the past five games.
Meanwhile, Cheney were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 13-17 to West Valley.
Smoky Valley's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Cheney's loss dropped them down to 2-8. We'll see if Smoky Valley can repeat their recent success or if Cheney bounce back and reverse their fortune.
