Troy was ahead by as much as eight before the Wildcats pulled closer.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Springfield.
Springfield (0-4) goes up against Xenia in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Troy (2-2) locks horns with Miamisburg also in a non-conference game.
