Heritage used a five-run third inning to cruise to a 9-1 victory over Regis Jesuit on Monday evening in Continental League play in Aurora.

The No. 2 Eagles (11-5, 5-2) also capitalized on three errors overall by the Raiders (10-4, 4-2) as Heritage was buoyed by a masterful performance from junior pitcher Riley Egloff, who yielded one run on five hits en route to a complete game.

Senior Caleb Sloan threw three innings and was pegged with the loss for Regis Jesuit, while sophomore designated hitter Gunnar Kozlowitz, senior third baseman Tanner Milinkov, junior second basemen Trevor Young and senior first baseman Jacob Hilton all recorded multiple hits for the Eagles.

Heritage has two home games the rest of the week in No. 9 ThunderRidge on Wednesday and No. 3 Mountain Vista on Friday, while Regis Jesuit plays at Douglas County on Wednesday and hosts No. 5 Legend on Friday.
