Tombstone will challenge Bisbee on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If the match is anything like the 38-36 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
If Tombstone were riding high off their 58-27 takedown of Santa Rita two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Last Friday, Tombstone came up short against Willcox, falling 20-28. Tombstone got a solid performance out of senior Tyler Wilridge, who rushed for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. This marked the 3rd game in which Wilridge has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Bisbee's five-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. Everything came up roses for them against Santa Rita as the team secured a 55-20 win. That looming 35-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bisbee yet.
Bisbee's win lifted them to 4-5 while Tombstone's loss dropped them down to 5-4. In their win, Bisbee relied heavily on junior Rj Wright, who passed for 252 yards and 5 touchdowns. Tombstone will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
