Corvallis might have drawn first blood against Silverton on Friday, but it was Silverton who got the last laugh. Corvallis lost to Silverton by a decisive 20-40 margin. Corvallis were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Silverton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
Corvallis got a solid performance out of senior Logan Steeves, who passed for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
The loss dropped Corvallis' record to 2-3. The victory bumped Silverton's record up to 5-0.
Corvallis will look to defend their home turf next week against McKay at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Silverton, they will face off against Dallas. Unlike Silverton, Dallas will be limping in after taking a loss.
