Kenedy have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Weimar at 7:30 PM. Weimar will be strutting in after a win while Kenedy will be stumbling in from a loss.
Things haven't been easy for Kenedy, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-52 punch to the gut against Woodsboro last Friday. Despite the defeat, Kenedy saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Nahjel Felix caught passes for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hinojosa has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Weimar and Flatonia. Weimar blew past Flatonia 40-6. Weimar were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Kenedy took a serious blow against Weimar the last time the two teams met, falling 0-49. Can Kenedy avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
