Miles had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Ranger 67-14. Miles was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Miles's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 47 points in the first half. Ranger came up with 14 to make it 47-14 heading into the break. The offense for Miles continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 20 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Miles will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Roby at 7:30 PM. Ranger are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Cross Plains next week at 7:00 PM.
