Alhambra took an ego-bruising defeat against Miramonte last Friday, but they kept their chin up and bounced back on Friday. Alhambra took down Northgate 33-13.
Alhambra's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 27 first-half points. Meanwhile, Northgate couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 27-0 heading into the break. Although Alhambra wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The win got them back to even at 4-4. Northgate are on a seven-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-7.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Alhambra take on Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 PM. Clayton Valley Charter have averaged 40.5 points over the course of their past three games, so Alhambra might be in for a challenge. As for Northgate, they will face off against Campolindo. Northgate's defense better steel itself: Campolindo are averaging 35.13 points per game.
