The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday East Lincoln takes on Smoky Mountain in the first playoff game of the year. Smoky Mountain will want to keep East Lincoln's offense in check as it has had no trouble moving up and down the field in its last three games.
East Lincoln blew past West Lincoln two weeks ago 35 - 9. Sophomore quarterback Marcus Graham had a wowing 309 passing yards in the victory. Graham has been a consistent playmaker for East Lincoln as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Smoky Mountain claimed a 34 - 26 victory over North Henderson two weeks ago. Smoky Mountain received a great game from junior quarterback Nate Coffey, who passed for 305 yards.
Their wins bumped Smoky Mountain to 7-4 and East Lincoln to 9-2. The two teams picked up some nice yardage in their most recent games (404 for East Lincoln and 406 for Smoky Mountain), so expect some excitement on the offensive end of the ball.
