Independence simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Branham 41-6. The win was familiar territory for Independence, who now have seven in a row.
Independence's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Branham couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. Independence put the match away in the third quarter with 13 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0. Branham are on a four-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 2-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Independence will take on Del Mar at home at 7:00 PM next week. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Branham, they will face off against Leigh.
