Tacko Fall has come a long way since he was first
introduced as the world's tallest high school basketball player via social media last spring.
Before
signing with Central Florida earlier this month, the 7-foot-5 senior center was pursued by college basketball heavyweights like Baylor and Georgetown. But success at that level wasn't seen as a sure thing.
MaxPreps caught up with Fall last week as
Liberty Christian Prep (Tavares, Fla.) took on Sunshine Independent Athletic Association rival West Oaks (see Brian Kane's video above).
Fall's strength, conditioning and coordination have improved by leaps and bounds, and he looks primed to become an impact performer at the college level in the coming years.
According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, the Senegal native is averaging 15.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots per game.
