After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, LHS was up 34-7 at the half.
The Cardinals grew their lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. Lawson's lone score in the quarter came on a passing touchdown.
Mid-Buchanan's only touchdown came on a 5-yard run in the first quarter.
The Dragons came in allowing just 16.4 points per game this season. LHS entered the contest giving up 21.7 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Cardinals came away with a 42-13 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Mid-Buchanan, which notched a 27-14 victory over West Platte in its previous outing. The loss ended Mid-Buchanan's two-game winning streak.
Mid-Buchanan (5-3) goes up against Lathrop in a KCI game matchup next week, while Lawson (6-2) locks horns with West Platte also in a KCI game.
