Basehor-Linwood took care of business in their home opener. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Tonganoxie 42-6. Tonganoxie can consider this payback for the 3-10 loss they dealt Basehor-Linwood the last time the teams encountered one another.
Basehor-Linwood's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Tonganoxie couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Basehor-Linwood in the second half and held Tonganoxie to 6 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Basehor-Linwood are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Lansing next week at 7:00 PM. Tonganoxie will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Louisburg at 7:00 PM.
