Magee will take on Crystal Springs at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Magee have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Magee put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They took their game against St. Andrew's Episcopal by a conclusive 43-10 score. Senior Javo Thurman, who passed for 272 yards and 5 touchdowns, was a major factor in Magee's success. Thurman has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, after a dominant victory in their match two weeks ago, Crystal Springs were humbled. They were completely outmatched, falling 21-58 to Velma Jackson. Crystal Springs were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-35.
Magee's win lifted them to 6-3 while Crystal Springs's loss dropped them down to 5-3. If Magee want to win, Magee will need to focus on stopping Crystal Springs' freshman Johnnie Daniels, who rushed for 152 yards and 1 touchdown, and junior Keondre Davis, who. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
